CJP Warns Fresh Protest Over Student Arrests After Truce

Cockroach Janta Party leaders on Monday accused the Centre of breaking the no-police-action understanding that ended their 36-day sit-in, saying students linked to the agitation were being arrested and harassed in several states and warning they would return to the streets if FIRs are not withdrawn.

National spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka, in a public post on X addressed to Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, called the situation a "complete breach of the agreement regarding no police action against the protestors." He claimed "hundreds of students" had been arrested in Bihar and Bengal, with hundreds more under surveillance or harassment in Delhi and other states.
