CJP's Saurav Das files police complaint after YouTubers enter his home

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) chief spokesperson Saurav Das has filed a police complaint with Delhi Police alleging that a group of YouTubers and media personnel unlawfully entered his south Delhi residence on August 5, filmed its interiors without consent, and circulated his residential address on social media.

According to the complaint filed at Greater Kailash police station, 15 to 20 people gathered outside Das's house on the morning of August 5, with some having camped outside since the previous night. Das was in Maharashtra's Sambhaji Nagar attending a two-day CJP meeting at the time.

The complaint names YouTube channels The Pamphlet and DelhiTak, alleging their anchors walked through the property, questioned the housekeeper about rent and household details, and recorded videos from inside the residence. It also names Abhijit Iyer Mitra and Deepak Sharma of The Pamphlet for repeatedly disclosing Das's residential address on social media.

"SOS: Certain YouTubers and media channels have broken into my house and are showing the visuals from inside," Das posted on X on August 5, tagging Delhi Police. "It's not just an invasion of my privacy but also a grave security threat for me and my family."

Delhi Police dispatched a team led by the SHO of Greater Kailash police station and deployed round-the-clock monitoring outside Das's residence. DCP (South) Anant Mittal confirmed the deployment but said no official complaint had been received at that point; Das later submitted a written complaint seeking charges of criminal house-trespass, criminal intimidation, defamation, and criminal conspiracy under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The incident drew political reactions. TMC Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien said his party would raise the matter in Parliament. AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj called it "hounding Gen Z leaders who raised their voice against the government."
